Portraits of Valor

The Center for American Values gallery exhibit, "Portraits of Valor", is an extraordinary collection of photographic portraits and documentation of more than 160 Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. The exhibit is a powerful example of the self sacrifice one segment of our society has made to protect the freedoms we all enjoy.

The portraits include four Medal of Honor recipients from Pueblo, including Center cofounder Drew Dix. During his presentation of the Medal to Pueblo native Raymond G. Murphy, President Dwight D. Eisenhower commented, "What is it in the water out there in Pueblo… all you guys turn out to be heroes." Pueblo is often referred to as the Home of Heroes.
